Our Three Programmes

Each programme is designed around a particular question a household might be sitting with — no pressure, no urgency, just careful work at a considered pace.

One Small Step Programme

One Small Step Programme

  • Two one-to-one sessions
  • Studio in Shah Alam or online
  • One chosen habit, built over one month

What Sets Our Approach Apart

A few honest notes on how Stepwise House works and what a household might reasonably expect.

Genuinely Independent

Stepwise House does not sell or refer financial products. All sessions are educational in nature — the household makes its own decisions.

Paced to Suit You

Programmes are structured around realistic pacing. No session asks you to absorb more than one careful idea at a time.

Plain-Language Materials

Every document and session note is written in straightforward English — no unexplained jargon, no charts requiring a background to decode.

Household-Scale Thinking

Programmes focus on the ordinary Malaysian household — its income patterns, monthly obligations, and realistic savings capacity — not textbook scenarios.

A Written Record to Keep

The Terraced Plan Engagement produces a printed document the household retains. It is not a dashboard or an app — it is a paper reference you can return to without a password.

One-to-One Format

Sessions are not group webinars. Each programme runs one-to-one, in person at the Shah Alam studio or online, at a time that suits your schedule.

Ready to Take That First Step?

If you have been thinking about one of our programmes, the most useful next step is a brief conversation. There is no commitment attached — just an opportunity to ask questions and find out whether the programme is suited to your situation.

Questions You Might Have

A few things households commonly ask before they get in touch.

Who are these programmes designed for?
The programmes are designed for working adults in Malaysian households who want to understand their finances more clearly. They do not require any prior knowledge of finance, accounting, or investing. If you can read a bank statement, you have enough background to participate.
What is the difference between financial education and financial advice?
Financial advice involves a qualified adviser assessing your circumstances and recommending specific products or actions. Financial education — which is what Stepwise House provides — helps you understand how things work: how loans are structured, how monthly cash flow interacts with repayments, how a plan can be written down. The decisions remain entirely yours.
Are sessions conducted in English?
Sessions are conducted in English. Some written materials include Bahasa Malaysia terms where these appear in official documents — for example, in loan agreements or financial statements.
Can I attend online instead of visiting the studio?
Yes. The One Small Step and Careful Borrower programmes can be delivered fully online by video call. The Terraced Plan Engagement includes a closing reading session that is preferable in person, though remote delivery can be arranged if needed.
What happens in the first session of any programme?
The first session is a listening session. The facilitator asks about your household's current situation, what prompted you to consider the programme, and what you would like to feel more confident about. No documents are required at this stage. The aim is simply to understand where you are starting from.
Is the fee paid in full before sessions begin?
The fee for the One Small Step and Careful Borrower programmes is settled before the first session. The Terraced Plan Engagement can be paid in two instalments — one at the start and one after the second working session. Details are confirmed at the enquiry stage.
Does Stepwise House recommend banks, brokers, or lenders?
No. Stepwise House does not refer clients to any lender, broker, insurance provider, or investment platform. The programmes are purely educational and Stepwise House does not receive any commission or referral fee from any third party.
